Quarters Interiors was selected as one of eight finalists to take part in GRAND DESIGNS LIVE (#gdlive) at the NEC in Birmingham 9th to 13th October 2019 and we came runner up in the #underthestairsproject at this year's Show.
Room Set Challenge - Day 1
After three months of intensive designing, planning and product sourcing the designers converged on Birmingham's huge NEC showground to finally make their room sets come to life. An intense two days of building, arranging and final faffing and the sets were ready for the public to see when the Show opened at 10am on Wednesday 9th October.
Day 2
Day 2 was all about furniture and accessories and the first job was to collect our items from the storage facility at 7am. There was still a bit of painting to finish and the lighting to fix in place before we could get wall mounted accessories in place and bring in the furniture. Finally it was time for the last minute styling and the day was over at 8pm. A long day, but it disappeared in a flash!
At last is was time for the judges to do their rounds....a great pleasure to meet Kevin McCloud, Harriet Forde of the British Institute of Interior Designers and Jenny Gibb of KLC School of Design
